upword Connect for WordPress
Push every upword article to a client’s WordPress site automatically—no copy-paste, no 2 a.m. uploads.
What is upword?
upword is an AI visibility and content platform for agencies and freelancers who manage local brands. You run unlimited client workspaces from one Partner account, allocate article credits per client, and ship original, citation-ready posts so those brands show up when buyers search Google or ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
We handle the pipeline: intent-aware topics, articles grounded in each client’s services and geography, AEO structure, scheduling—and Connect pushes the finished piece into WordPress. No shared passwords; server-to-server publishing you can repeat across every client domain you operate.
Why use the plugin?
Once connected, that client’s WordPress install becomes the destination for every article you approve—same stack, every account, no hand delivery.
One-click setup
Install, activate, and click "Connect to upword." No technical setup required.
No passwords shared
Secure server-to-server connection. You never share your WordPress login.
Images in your Media Library
Featured images are downloaded and stored on your site — not hotlinked.
SEO plugins supported
Works with Yoast SEO, Rank Math, and custom meta fields out of the box.
How it helps
upword produces articles each client could never afford from manual writers at scale—local guides, comparisons, objection-handling FAQs—all structured for blue-link SEO and AI citations. Connect pipes that output straight into WordPress on the cadence you set.
Link each client site once. After that, your team isn’t pasting into Gutenberg, hunting featured images, or babysitting Yoast/Rank Math fields. If you’re already allocating credits across accounts, Connect is how those articles actually ship—without burning PM hours.
In practice
- Install and activate the plugin, then click “Connect to upword” in WordPress Settings.
- Approve the connection in upword (no WordPress password is ever shared).
- Articles publish to your site automatically as they’re completed — featured image, SEO title, meta description, and JSON-LD included.
- Featured images are downloaded and stored in your Media Library — no hotlinking
- SEO metadata applied via Yoast SEO, Rank Math, or custom meta fields
- JSON-LD structured data added to each article for rich results
- Secure server-to-server connection — no WordPress passwords shared or stored
- Idempotent publishing — retries update the existing post instead of creating duplicates
Who it’s for
If you’re an agency or freelancer delivering content for WordPress-based local brands—and you want production off your plate so you can sell outcomes, not hours—upword plus Connect is the stack. You keep strategy and approvals; we handle drafting, structure, and the push to production.
How to install
Install from the WordPress plugin marketplace (recommended) or download the zip and upload it in your WordPress admin. After activation, go to Settings → upword Connect and click “Connect to upword” to link your site. No code or server access required.
Common questions
Do I need to give upword. my WordPress login?
No. You never share your WordPress username or password. The connection uses a secure signed link created during setup. The plugin and our servers communicate via a shared secret — no login credentials are stored or sent.
Will this create duplicate blog posts?
No. If an article is published again or retried (e.g. after an update), upword. updates the existing post instead of creating a new one. Publishing is idempotent so you don’t get duplicates.
Will my images be hosted on my site?
Yes. Featured images are downloaded from our CDN and stored in your WordPress Media Library. They’re served from your domain, not hotlinked.
Does this work with Yoast or Rank Math?
Yes. upword. Connect detects Yoast SEO and Rank Math and fills in your SEO title and meta description automatically. If you use custom meta fields, those are supported too.
